Pursuit - Students

Our Youth Ministry: Pursuit

We call our youth ministry “Pursuit” because, we have decided to pursue God with our whole hearts, in a culture of compromise. While we have a good time together, we do not seek to entertain but disciple the next generation, so they can stand strong in the faith and be a light to those around them.

Pursuit serves students in grades 6th-12th.

Psalm 119:10 -With my whole heart I seek you; let me not wander from your commandments!

We want to pursue God in three ways:

We pursue God in His word: It is essential to be in God’s Word regularly so that we do not wander from His commandments. That’s why we emphasise reading the Bible at our weekly meetings.

We pursue God together: On Tuesday nights, from 7-9pm, we gather together for Pursuit. This is a fun evening of games and fellowship but also drinking deeply from God’s Word—as we read and study the Bible together.

We pursue God in missions: Christ said in Matthew 28:18-20, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” It’s with this mandate in mind that we venture into the communities of Mt. Pleasant and the rest of Michigan to serve the needy and those who don’t know God yet.  We have multiple opportunities throughout the year, from sharing at CMU to serving in Detroit, to pursue God through missions.

Pursuit gathers together on Tuesday nights, from 7-9pm at:
